Project CrAL presented to the educators community in Lithuania

Project partner association “Langas į ateitį” had an excellent opportunity to present CrAL project at the international conference for educators’ community ALTA’21 “Advanced Learning Technologies and Applications. From Distance to Hybrid Learning” which was held online on 1st December 2021. The traditional annual conference is organized by National Association of Distance Education and Faculty of Informatics of Kaunas University of Technology which are both active Lithuanian National Digital Coalition members.

International conference ALTA’21 “Advanced Learning Technologies and Applications. From Distance to Hybrid Learning” aims to gather European educational actors, from policy makers to practitioners to researchers. At ALTA’21 participants presented their research results, projects and discussed their experiences in the field of e-Learning methodologies, educational projects, innovations and new technologies applied to Education and Research. The CrAL project’s innovative methodology to enhance critical thinking and media literacy is very much in line with the goals of the conference.

Over 60 participants attended the 3rd ALTA’21 conference session dedicated to Lithuanian education community, in which association “Langas į ateitį” presented CrAL project introducing:

  • The aim of the project to enhance critical thinking and media literacy among young people, parents, and educational staff.
  • Target groups of the project: educators (teachers and trainers) to implement the Creative Audiovisual Labs and 14–19-year-old students who will produce films on selected topics such as migration, tolerance and other topics that are interesting for them and important in todays’ society.
  • The activities of the project: development of innovative methodology and online platform, blended training of educators and involvement for students.
  • Possibilities for educators to participate in CrAL project activities.

 

The CrAL project’s training content is at the final stage of development. Educators and youngsters from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Lithuania and Spain will be invited to participate in project activities during the 2022/2023 school year. Stay tuned for more information in the first quarter of 2021.
